Diana Isaac Retirement Village

Scope of Works

In late 2011, Blakely Construction were contracted by Ryman Healthcare to manage, co-ordinate and carry out the construction of all major civil infrastructure for Diana Isaac Retirement Village, a large-scale 11-hectare retirement complex consisting of 242 townhouse units, 23 apartments and a multiple-floor hospital housing a leisure centre and 84 assisted living suites.

As the primary civil contractor, Blakely Construction was responsible for the construction of the village’s 20,000 m2 of roadways, car parks and driveways, as well as the installation of essential services such as sewer and storm water drainage, electricity supply and telecommunications. Also included in the civil works were all bulk earthworks, formation and preloading of building foundations and construction of four storm water retention basins. Working in conjunction with a landscaping contractor, Blakely Construction was also responsible for building 7,500 m2 of footpaths, patios and service areas along with approximately five hectares of soft landscaping works.
